SE Nas 07: 2nd Company to Mirage Advertising

Welcome to the 2nd day in Jakarta.

Woke up in the morning and we had to be ready in 07.30.. we would go to Mirage Advertising. Some of us still sleepy, so we slept at bus. About an hour, our bus stopped at a big street. We have to walk to reach Mirage Office.

Finally, we reached a minimalist building, with a modern style. In that building, we saw a lot of abstract paintings and many colourful doors wich connected us to editing room. All rooms in first room are used as editing room. Almost of that rooms use vague light.. kenapa ya kok remang-remang? Yudi,from HRD Mirage Advertising,became our Tour Leader and explained, “kalau pakai cahaya yang terang, terus cahaya memantul di monitor komputer, bisa mengganggu proses editing. Karena warna gambar bisa lain lagi jadinya,”.

Next, to 2nd floor. We got design room.. there is a big room which divided into 3 parts: 2D, 3D and Graphic design. There are also miniatures of cartoon characters. What for? Those things for giving inspiring to the designers.

Dari ruang desain, lanjut lagi ke ruang mixing. Istilahnya, ini ruang terakhir untuk proses produksi. Kami sempat ditunjukkan beberapa iklan yang mereka buat, salah satunya bravia. Untuk gambar, ada yang mereka rekam sendiri, tapi ada juga yang mereka ambil dari Production House lain. Contohnya, iklan Campina yang menggunakan bentuk spongebob. Pada awal iklan, ditunjukkan sepenggal bagian dari fil Spongebob Squarepants. Untuk gambar ini, Mirage membayar royalti kepada Nickelodeon as the owner of that picture. Di sebelah ruangan mixing,ada sebuah studio mini yang digunakan untuk proses Dubbing. 2 from my friends, Jessica and Stephanie, tried to act as dubbers. After saw almost all of their rooms, they brought us to meeting room to listen presentation about Mirage Advertising. Sayangnya, orang yang seharusnya presentasi kepada kami terjebak macet dan kami tidak mungkin menunggunya karena kami ada kunjungan lagi.
Teknologi yang digunakan di perusahaan ini tentu saja alat – alat mixing, edit, dan produksi. Most of them use Apple as their computer.
