SE Nas 07: 5th Company to Ogilvy

Thursday, the 4th day in Jakarta. First visit to Ogilvy PR worldwide. Ogilvy is a PR consultant based in New York. When we first arrived in Ogilvy, we nthink that ogilvy is just an ordinary PR consultant. Honestly, most of us didn’t know about ogilvy at all. But when they started their presentation, all of us really amazed by them. Yang presentasi kepada kami adalah Erica dan Diah Noer Abubakar dari Ogilvy. Sayangnya kami tidak tahu secara pasti apa posisi mereka, tapi tampaknya mereka memiliki posisi yang tinggi dan mereka merupakan karyawan senior di sana. Hal ini tampak dari penguasaan mereka tentang materi presentasi mereka dan cara mereka berpakaian. They were very elegant and look very professional.. we like the way they explained to us, fast and clear. Ogilvy memiliki banyak cabang di negara – negara luar, seperti china, jepang dan negara – negara barat. Ogilvy mengidentikkan diri mereka dengan great branding and big ideas. David Ogilvy, as founder, memiliki motto “the most local of the international and the most international of local”. For their official employee, they have 6 standards:
Accountability
Egility
Bravely
Curiosity
Colaboration
Passion

Pola kerja mereka adalah Insights (dasar dari sebuah ide, bagaimana mereka research product) lalu Ideas, dan terakhir adalah Influence (cara membuktikan keberhasilan kampanye). Contoh – contoh dari klien mereka adalah nokia, dove, sampoerna, dll. Tentu saja Ogilvy memiliki banyak penghargaan salah satu contohnya adalah pada 2006 mereka mendapatkan penghargaan “Best Product & Promotion – Marketing Communications : Consumer (Top Award)-Asia Pacific PR week awards (What’s your personaltea. PT Unilever Indonesia)
About high technology, one of their high –tech is they held a global meeting annually with other Ogilvy’s branch in other countries, like teleconference..and then, when they presented their company, they were using notebook.
